Bariloche and Calafate

Arrival in Bariloche airport, reception by our guides and transfer. Arrival in the city, lodging.

 

Breakfast and later departure to Circuito Chico and Cerro Catedral Tour. The trip starts from Bariloche through Av. Bustillo. The road is asphalted, it is a winding road and borders Lake Nahuel Huapi. At km. 8 you will find Playa Bonita, where you can see Huemul Island. Ten kilometers later and after crossing different landscapes, you arrive at the foot of Mount Campanario. In this place a lift operates that takes the traveler to the summit (1,050 meters.), From where you can appreciate one of the most beautiful and fascinating views of the region. Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno lakes, El Trébol lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, Victoria Island, the hills of Otto, Lopez, Goye, Catedral and Bariloche. Following the trip and after passing the area of ​​the peninsula of San Pedro, you reach the Llao Llao peninsula, there the great Llao Llao hotel and the chapel of San Eduardo stand out as well as architectural gems of the region, on Lake Nahuel Huapi : Puerto Pañuelo. Continuing the route we will cross the golf courses, the bridge Angostura on the river of the same name that joins the lakes Moreno and Nahuel Huapi and the Lopez Bay at the foot of the hill with the same name. Further on we reach the Punto Panoramico, which is a natural balcony overlooking Lake Moreno and the Llao Llao peninsula. Then we cross the bridge that crosses Lake Moreno, borders the El Trébol Lagoon and 2 km. later it is joined with Av. Bustillo, at the height of Km. 18, where you return to the city and then do the Tour to Cerro Catedral. The name of the Cathedral has been imposed by the similarity of its towers, at its summit, with its Gothic cathedral. It is the main center of winter sports and ski competitions in South America. However the summer season focuses on a series of activities that aim to offer the possibility of enjoying the mountain, the outdoors and nature. To do this, Catedral prepares its means of elevation and shows some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Cordillera region. In winter it has all the necessary infrastructure for the practice of winter sport. From the base there are various lifting devices that lead to the access platforms to the tracks. The return to Bariloche is done by the same route. ** This tour does not include ascents to the Cerro**                                                                                                                          

Breakfast and free day. The passenger, if he / she wishes, can hire an optional tour ike for example, Victoria Island and Bosque de Arrayanes or Puerto Blest.

 

After breakfast, pick up at the hotel and transfer to the airport to take a flight (not included) to El Calafate. Arrival to Calafate, reception at the airport and transfer to the selected hotel. Check in and overnight accommodation.

 

After breakfast we will start the trip to Perito Moreno Glacier. This excursion is the classic full day tour departing at 9:30 AM. And returning at 5:30 pm. Approx. It leaves from Calafate until the National Park, traveling 80 km. The same one begins bordering the Argentino Lake observing a great amount of European hares, maras, caranchos and black eagles. Soon we enter into a forest of lengas, ñires and coíhues on the Brazo Rico of 150 km2, until we arrive at the viewpoint of the glacier. From here and through footbridges at different levels you can see the ice mass of 190 km2.

After breakfast, we will have a free day until the pick up time for the departure to the airport of El Calafate.
