Description
Our tour begins with a quick ride of the republican and historic downtown of Trujillo, with beautiful mansions, imposing portals, balconies and well-preserved churches. Then our transportation will drive to one of the amazing highlights, the awesome Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the center of power of the northern coast of Peru at the time of the Moche. We will be able to appreciate the outstanding group of frescoes in adobe in one of the walls of the Temple of the Moon, disclosed by the archaeologists. The temple of the Moon site museum stores mummies, and pot remains of this powerful culture. Our route continues to the Huanchaco fishermen’s cove, famous for its totora reed boats called Totora Horses. Lunch time at one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. After this relaxed time, the ancient citadel of Chan Chan is waiting us, with an area of 18 km2 approx., and tour Nik-An Palace, located in the south-western of Chan Chan touring its ceremonial plazas, shrines, water reservoirs, barns, cemeteries, among others. An intense day with fully experiences.
