Itinerary
- The Trujillo city tour begins with a visit to the main square of Trujillo, (founded in 1534). There we will appreciate its beautiful ornamentation, as well as its statue (sculpture of a man who snorts). Through the professional tour guide we will learn more about its history, its creation (by the German artist Edmund Moeller.
- Next, we will go to the Trujillo Cathedral (built in 1646), a Churrigueresque-style construction, which maintains a striking yellow color on its facades. Together with the tour guide we will appreciate its structures, treasures and historical importance.
- Also, we will pass by the Urquiaga house, today transformed into a museum that contains different pieces from the pre-Columbian era, from the colony and from the time of emancipation from Spain.
- In the last part of the tour, we will pass by the Iturregui Palace and Plaza El Recreo, where the first pool that Trujillo had is located, a marble fountain carved in the Italian Baroque style and which was originally in the main square.
- After this, we will end the tour and we will be free to continue walking through the city, or return to our hotels to rest.
