Itinerary

  • We will pick you up from the hotel in the city of Cusco, to start the incredible tour to The Sacred Valley of the Incas. Located 15 km northeast of the city, this place has been appreciated by the Inca Empire for its geographical and climatic qualities, and for its fertile lands, perfect for crops. The Sacred Valley altitude is 2,800 M.A.S.L., and it has one of the best weathers in the region. The valley houses a unique flora and fauna, with wild flowers and wildlife as viscacha, puma, skunk, and others.

After a journey of 20 miles, we will arrive in the small town of Pisac. This fantastic place has an amazing craft market, and archaeological temples, with incredible views to the valley and the magnificent Inca platforms.

  • Then, we will continue the tour until Urubamba to enjoy a traditional lunch of Peruvian food in a local restaurant, located on the banks of the Urubamba River. This buffet lunch offers regional flavors, and you can taste alpaca and trout.

  • Later, we are going to explore the Fortress of Ollantaytambo. This temple was the headquarter of Inca’s army, as well as a religious and agricultural place. Admire the amazing landscape with stunning views, and watch more than a hundred Inca platforms with an advanced irrigation canal.

  • To finish the tour, we will visit Chinchero, and its typical and colorful Inca market, full of traditional craft as ceramics and Andean looms.

According the Sacred Valley tribe, the Milky Way and its constellations were reflected in the Urubamba River. Pachacutec, who was the ninth Inca emperor, began the expansion of the Inca Empire called Tahuantinsuyo. Among his most important works are the Fortress of Ollantaytambo, Sacsayhuamán, Coricancha, and during his mandate, the construction of Machu Picchu began.
