Know Isla Amantan
It is located to the north of the Island of Taquile and the Llascastiti Mount stands out, that surpasses the maximum altitude of the lake, increasing to 4150 meters above sea level on the land in this island. Here you can find the Sanctuary of Pachatata, a stone building in honor of the land.
It is called "Isla del Amor", as it has wonderful landscapes such as eucalyptus forests, multiple species of flowers and a suitable land for cultivation and agriculture. There is no electricity or gas, and water services are basic.
Another peculiarity is that there are no motorized vehicles on the island, nor conventional accommodation options. Visitors wishing to stay can do so directly in the houses of the settlers.
