URUBAMBA
Know Urubamba
This small city is located on the banks of the Urubunda River. It is outstanding for its archaeological heritage, for being the city with more remains of the Inca empire. It is an agricultural zone, with pleasant temperatures and fertile soils.
It possesses a good tourist infrastructure to receive its visitors and is the point of meeting for several excursions to nearby settlements. Among its attractions is the market where it is possible to acquire handicraft, observe the customs, and enjoy the gastronomy of the zone.
In Urubamba are realized cultural activities, as the Festival del Señor de Torrechayoc, the first days of June, and where typical dances and customs of the zone can be observed.
