Know Puno
It is the "Peru’s folkloric capital". It is a city with big archeological remains of the Tiahuanaco's culture and part of the wonderful Lago Titicaca. Everything very near to the sky for being at 3600 meters.
It possesses the cultural heritage of its buildings, being outstanding the Cathedral, the Iglesia San Juan, the Casa del Corregidor, and the balcony of the Conde de Lemus, nowadays the Instituto Nacional de Cultura de Puno, amongst others. In addition, it possesses natural areas, as the Cerro Huajsapata, which corresponds to a natural viewpoint formed with limestone, and the Malecón Ecoturístico, next to the lake Titicaca, where is possible to sail in boats and other outdoor activities.
Other important place is the Reserva Nacional del Titicaca de Puno, a natural protected area where is possible to enjoy the native flora and representative fauna of the zone, as the parihuanas or flamingos.

When to go: Airway, to Inca Manco Capac International Airport. By land, through Panamericana Highway from Arequipa and Cusco. Also, connected with Bolivia. It is possible to arrive by train.
