This city possesses many attractions, as its buildings and the most ancient square of Perú, besides its Cathedral and hanger bridges.
It has archaeological heritage, as the petroglyphs of Samanga and the Aypate's archaeological complex, with ceremonial spaces and strengthened walls.
Also, it possesses wide natural areas in the city, as its Plaza de Armas, with species of the native flora of the zone, and several monuments. Among its attractions, it has beaches, as Colán, of tropical style, surrounded by palms, and where nautical activities can be practiced.
Other important place to visit is Máncora, a resort of white sands and warm waters, a tropical paradise in the zone, which is near to places with medicinal mud for healing treatments.
Yacila's cove offers beautiful beaches, dunes, and the Foca island, located at two hours of sailing. This zone also is known by its excellent carnivals in February.
