Itinerary
- We will pick you up at 8:00am at your hotel and take you from Cuenca to the Cajas National Park for a panoramic tour. You can choose between visiting the high part of the park (3900m) or the low part of the park (high 3100m).
El Cajas is full of water bodies: there are about 165 lagoons that are over 1 hectare and 621 that are smaller than 1 hectare. In total there are 786 water bodies. The National Park is recognized as a Ramsar site, or Wetland of International Importance. Since 2002, and through an agreement with the Ministry of Environment, the National Park is administered by the Municipality of Cuenca - High part: Transfer from Cuenca to Toreadora Lagoon, where you will visit the Interpretation Center, walk level II.
- Low part: Transfer from Cuenca to Llaviucu, walk across the flat sector of the park, 45 min approximately.
- Once we finished, we take you back to your hotel. Your return to the city will be at 12:00pm approximately.
