Know Puerto Varas
It is a beautiful locality on the banks of the Llanquihue Lake. It possesses hundreds of attractions to enjoy the nature. The "City of the Roses" has an excellent tourist infrastructure, beautiful buildings constructed in wood, and the best gastronomy with German influences.
It possesses great natural areas, as the Parque Phillipi, with paths and a big cross, which is turned on during the night illuminating the city. In the Monte Calvario were constructed several chapels. It has the Muse Antonio Felmer, with exhibitions of colonial objects of the zone.
Among its most popular places to visit are the Parque Nacional Vicente Pérez Rosales, where is possible observe the Saltos del Petrohue, where sport activities can be practiced, as rafting. Also, the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco can be observed.
Other nearby zones are Frutillar, in the opposite shore of the Llanquihue Lake, being outstanding for being a cultural and musical center, its beautiful handicraft, and its nice resorts.
