Know Puerto Montt
Puerto Montt is the port that connects the country with the most austral regions, and the access to Chiloe's big island. It is located in front of the Reloncaví, with a calm bay that receives the commercial ships and cruise ships.
Among its attractions is Angelmó, a cove where is possible to enjoy the exquisite Patagonian gastronomy and beautiful handicraft elaborated in wool and materials, as shells and wood. The Tenglo island is located in front of it. It is a viewpoint to observe the coast of Puerto Montt and its volcanoes Calbuco, Puntiagudo, and Osorno. Also, it possesses the resorts Pelluco, where it is possible to enjoy the coast, accommodations, and entertainments.
It has native areas as the Parque Alerce Andino, where is located the Chapo lake and great spaces to observe the native flora, as cinnamon-trees, ferns, and podocarpus; local fauna, as mountain lions and pudus. Additionally, a fossil forest in Punta Peuco, nowadays the Santuario de la Naturaleza.
