Know Puelo - Futaleufu Austral Route
This route is one of the richest places in the world when it comes to flora, with virgin spots, land still untouched. This zone offers a great variety of flora and fauna. In its native forest, in which the mythical Alerce still stands, the landscape offers fluvial wonders like waterfalls, straits and fjords, and an extravagant sea fauna. The flora is protected in the Hornopiren and Pumalin National Parks -also in the Futaleufu and Palena National Reserves-. It has a magical landscape that invites you to contemplate the natural wonders like Futaleufu and Puelo rivers and the Yelcho lake, as well as the native lion (puma), chucaos, huemules, trouts and salmons. For entertainment and outdoor activities lovers, the Austral Route offers lots of possibilities to practice extreme sports. The Futaleufu river is the favorite one to practice kayak.
