COPACABANA
Know Copacabana
It is a city that is located on the shores of Lake Titicaca. It is a center of tourism of nature and religion, since here you find the image of the Virgin of Copacabana, that generates great fervor in all Bolivia.
It is for this reason that one of its greatest attractions is the Iglesia de la Virgen de Copacaban (Church of the Virgin of Copacabana), dating from 1601, with architectural style mixing the baroque and the Renaissance. The main image of the virgin is a colonial altarpiece of baroque inspiration. Another important place of religious tourism is El Calvario, a hill of 900 meters where processions are held in Holy Week.
Its beach is one of the highest in the world, with almost frozen waters. From here you can sail to the Isla del Sol, on a journey that lasts about an hour and a half.
