The city is a Cultural Heritage of Humanity and is one of the cities with best preserved Hispanic architecture. There are many religious buildings such as the church of San Lázaro, the Catedral and the convent of La Recoleta.
It has natural areas where we can find traces of dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period. Cal Orko is a famous site, the largest in the world, with vestiges of immense animals like titanosaurs. One of its footprints has an extension of more than 350 meters.
