Itinerary
Our excursion starts when we pick you up from the selected hotels in El Calafate.
We will depart the city in a 4x4 vehicle, heading south through the Calafate Stream valley. After a 15 km ascent, we will reach the Estancia 25 de Mayo area, where our mountain bikes will be waiting for us. At the starting point near Lago Argentino, our guide will welcome us and provide a brief safety briefing, followed by stretching and warm-up exercises, while the necessary adjustments are made to the technical equipment. Throughout the tour, we will make several stops to share interesting facts about the area and to check both the equipment and each participant’s condition.
After the technical briefing with our experienced guide, we will begin the Safari Bike: a 16 km ride through the Natural Reserve. During this approximately 2-hour excursion, we will have the opportunity to observe a wide variety of native wildlife, including guanacos, foxes, rheas, condors, and eagles.
Riding through the Guanacos Valley and its scenic viewpoint overlooking the Verlika and Baguales hills, we will reach a chenque (an ancient Tehuelche burial site), where we will take a break and enjoy the vastness of the Patagonian landscape.
Afterwards, we will return to the ranch to enjoy lunch before concluding the tour with return transfer to the central hotels.
