SAN JUAN
Know San Juan
The capital of San Juan Province. It is located in the Cuyo region. It emerges as a valley in the middle of arid areas. It is surrounded by mountains, allowing enjoying the beauty of the snow in the winter and the spectacle of the thaw in the spring.
One of its attractions is the sculptures of the city, in memory of historical figures, such as Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, and Fray Santamaría de Oro, amongst others. Also, its buildings are distinguishes, such as the Santo Domingo Church, National Monument, the Parque de Mayo, the San Juan Cathedral, and several museums, such as Fine Art Museum and the Franklin Library, the most ancient of South America.
Also, it has interesting places to visit, such as the Ullum Reservoir and Dike, the warehouses of the wonderful wines of the zone, the Zonda Gully, and the car-racing track, where outdoor activities and nautical sports can be realized.
