Know Rio Hondo

This beautiful town located in the bank of the Dulce River and nearby to the Frontal Dike of the Hondo River Reservoir. It is known as the Spa-City of Argentina, since it is an excellent resort of thermal spring, located in the Santiago del Estero Province.

Geographically, it is located in a privileged zone of underground thermal waters, for this minerals of all kinds can be obtained, even waters with electrical load. The most important activities of the zone are related to nautical sports.

It is recommended to visit in winter, in this season the visitors enjoy the cold days to shelter in their pleasant temperate swimming pools.

In addition, it has interesting buildings, such as the Perpetuo Socorro Church, Rincón de Atacama Museum, amongst others. The shopping centers are known by the beautiful straw and jonquil basket-making.
