This city is an incredible combination of resorts, landscapes, and deserts. A magic place where it is possible to enjoy fauna contemplation, such as the impressive southern right whale. Besides, paleontological remains of those first animals of this side of the world.
Its coasts are bathed by the waters of the Golfo Nuevo, where coexist magellanic penguins and sea lions. It has approximately 30 kilometers of beaches, soft sands, and cliffs, where it is possible to enjoy beautiful landscapes.
Some places that have to be visited in Puerto Madryn are the Península Valdés, declared World Heritage Site, where can be observed southern right whale from June to November. Also, Punta Loma, home of the sea lions, and Punta Tombo, home of the magellanic penguins.
This zone has also diversity of flora, which it is possible to discover in the Botanical Garden of the Patagonia Extrandina, observing different kind of plateau and mountain range species.
It has also pretty resorts, with hot baths and nautical sports. For this reason, Puerto Madryn is known as "The Capital of Diving". It is also the zone with the major contact with the nature of the country.
