The activity begins when you are transported from Lima to
Canchacalla Valley, located at 41 km of the Central Road in Lima.
Then, we will begin a hike of approximately 30 minutes. On the way
you will see several rocky walls which are climbed by beginners
and advanced climbers.
You will be provided with the basic climbing gear, like ropes,
harness, helmet and belay device. You will also receive
instructions and hear an overview of what this exciting sport is all
about. You will learn about the equipment involved, its proper use
and care, how to make knots, basic climbing concepts such as
belaying (a climber's safety system), rope handling and techniques.
Then, it will be time to put it all together and spend the rest of the
day climbing and rapelling on a top rope format.
Note: This course is excellent for first time climbers or if you
haven't climbed much in the great outdoors.
