Marcahuasi plateau is located at 80km to the northeast side of Lima on top of the Santa Eulalia Valley, district of San Pedro de Casta. This spectacular Stone forest is at 4,200 meters above sea level in the Andean mountains in a 4 km2 area
This place became a major site for esoteric tourism in the 1970s when researcher Daniel Ruzo suggested that its huge rocky formations - some measuring almost 25 meters high- were shaped in the form of animal and human figures, and were the work of a long-lost civilization that lived at Marcahuasi before the time of Noah's flood, the Great Deluge.
He claimed that this civilization could travel to several parts of the world and made figures in stone; not only in Marcahuasi, but also in Egypt, Mexico, France, Brazil, England and elsewhere. These figures, Ruzo claimed, were made to warn humanity of another coming cataclysm.
Join us on this adventure and see if you can discover your own sculptures at the mysterious Marcahuasi.
